Having worked in the construction industry back in the UK, Mitchinson uses his extensive knowledge to ensure that all work meets his exacting standards, however, has not been easily accomplished.
‘When I first purchased the land I asked a local builder who came highly recommended to build the site office. To be quite frank, I was appalled at the work and although I currently use the building as my office I will pull it down once the houses are completed,’ he says.

Mitchinson then went on to employ a reputable Bangkok construction company to build what was to be his own home. This too led to problems.

‘I was constantly having to check the quality of work. Regardless of the plan and agreed specification, if there was a corner that could be cut or money to be saved by using second grade material they would try and do it. So,inevitably we fell out and the contact was terminated’, he recalls.

For Mitchinson the only sensible option was to start his own construction company and assemble his own team of highly trained architects,builders,electrical and civil engineers and interior designers. When you consider that al this effort was initially to construct his own home, it is easy to see why he soon had other people were asking him to build homes for them.

Mitchinson has engaged in painstaking reseach to ensure that he was able to source the best materials, from cement to marble, tiles to aged teak as well as the finest imported fixtures and fittings.
